The "Pooladium" was an entertainment stage located in the vicinity of Charlotte Street, Townsville, near Aplin's Weir during WW2

Lowth's Hotel in 1920. Stanley Pictures, the sign above the entrance, was behind the hotel in Stanley Street.

Constructing the Rex Theatre, Oonoonba using a ex US WW2 storage building from Ann Street, Aitkenvale.

The Rex Theatre opened on 5th May 1949

 

Heatley's Dance Hall was located on the first floor of Heatley's Department Store which can be seen behind the Everman's Hut. Access to the dance hall was via Sturt Street. Heatley's Department Store was on the ground floor and was accessed via Flinders Street
